How To Cook Moussaka

moussakaHappy new year, Not Perfect Housewives! Wish you less cleaning and more fun in 2014! I hope you had a lovely holidays as I did!

I enjoyed doing almost nothing for two weeks. In fact I did something – I had a lot of fun with my friends and family, I enjoyed the lazy days and I tasted a lot of delicious dishes.

One of them was Moussaka. It’s a traditional Bulgarian meal, that a friend of mine – Annie, cooked for me. It’s made from potatoes and meat and tastes wonderful.

There is a Greek Moussaka, which is more popular, but this one is different. It’s made only with vegetables and in the Bulgarian one there is also meat. Annie told me she tried it as she was on business trip to Bulgaria last year. That’s why she asked for the recipe and did it by herself.

Moussaka is love at first bite. It was so delicious that I asked Annie for the recipe and I did it. My husband just loved it. It’s a perfect choice if you want to surprise your guest with an exotic meal. It’s not hard to be made even by not perfect housewives like me. And I’m going to tell you share you this cooking secret. Read and take notes!
