Ever since it as first introduced to the market, OxiClean has been a leading stain removal and household cleaning product line. The different products with this brand name are very efficient as laundry additives, stain removal, and overall cleaning product.

It is very efficient for removing stubborn carpet stains as it contains hydrogen peroxide and sodium percarbonate which we know are efficient stain removing solutions. For the best spot and stain removal, use the OxiClean Versatile Stain Removal powder and dissolve it in water by closely following the instructions of the producer.

Make sure you test the solution on a hidden and inconspicuous carpet before applying it to the stained spot. Make sure your carpet reacts well to the product. If you have a wool, silk leather or dry clean only carpet, do not use OxiClean, as it may damage it!

To remove the stain from a carpet using OxiClean Versatile Stain Removal powder dissolved in water, first of all, remove all excess liquid or solid from the spill. Then, spray or apply the solution so that it completely saturates the stained area. Let it sit for up to 5 minutes, and then blot it up with a clean and dry rug or towel. Don’t allow the solution to dry on the stain, or in other words – make sure you remove it in time while it is wet.

If the stain is particularly persistent, repeat the steps. After you are done, use a damp clean cloth or rug to rinse off the solution from the carpet. You can use a hairdryer to dry the spot and then vacuum it thoroughly.

You can use the oxygen based product as a universal stain remover from your upholstery and laundry as well. The fact is, that it will not damage the textiles because it is chlorine free and is colour safe as well unless they are from wool, silk, leather or specific cleaning is required by the manufacturer of the stained clothing or furniture. The secret behind the efficiency of the product is the oxygen which is released from the peroxide plus the included refined baking soda in the product which is an excellent cleaning agent. It is not recommended to use OxiClean for treating rusty and metallic-based stains because the oxidation process can actually increase the damage.

So, say goodbye to those stains on your carpet which has been bothering you for a while with this amazing cleaning product. Just dilute it in warm water, treat the spot and watch it fizzle away all the soil and dirt. Remember to rinse it off and let it dry and the stain will be gone forever.

Of course, if you want to make a similar solution yourself, you can mix 3% hydrogen peroxide with a spoonful of dishwashing detergent. First, sprinkle baking soda on the stain and then pour or spray the mixture on top of it. The effect will be similar, and it is very likely that the stain will be gone.
